Dear Parents/Guardians: We are off and running for another jammed packed academic year. Below you will find a few reminders for my class. We are starting a new reading series called Wit and Wisdom. Wit and Wisdom is composed of 4 modules and other resources to enhance the 5th grade academic school year. The last module is called "We Are the Ship." It focuses on civil rights and how Blacks became a part of major league sports. Students will use figurative language, idioms, adages, homophones, homographs, verbs and verb tenses, and prefixes and suffixes for comprehension. If you have any questions, concerns or comments, please feel free to email me at [email protected].
